Non-Invasive Cardiologist, Bridgeport, CT โ€

- Application of the physicianโ€™s particular skill and knowledge in medicine and in the specialty of cardiology.
- Diagnose, treat, manage, and prevent diseases or conditions of the cardiovascular system.
- Reading cardiac studies
- Providing cardiac services
- Proper and timely interpretation of office and hospital studies and proper and timely documentation of patientsโ€™ charts

Will be practicing in office as well as rounding at Bridgeport Hospital.
Schedule: Full-time position, Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm.

Requires a medical degree or foreign equivalent, completion of a three-year residency in internal medicine and completion of a two-year fellowship in cardiovascular medicine.
Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible (BC/BE) and licensed to practice medicine in theState of Connecticut, or ability to obtain.

TEAM FITNESS & WEIGHT LOSS CHALLENGE RULES

1. Overview

  • Teams consist of 2 members.
  • The competition runs for 3 months:
    • Start Date: July 21, 2025
    • End Date: October 20, 2025
  • Teams compete in three measured categories:
    • Weight Loss (% of combined bodyweight lost)
    • Calisthenics Physical Challenge (timed)
    • Final 5K Run/Walk (timed)

The team with the best overall weighted score across these events wins.

2. Registration & Fees

  • Each team registers with:
    • Names of both participants
    • Baseline measurements:
      • Weight (officially recorded)
      • Waist circumference
      • Photos for verification (optional but encouraged)
  • Entry Fee: $100 per person ($200 per team)
  • Entry fees are non-refundable, including in cases of disqualification due to rule violations or cheating.
  • Participants must sign a waiver confirming medical readiness to participate.

3. Weigh-Ins & Measurements

  • Initial Weigh-In & Waist Measurement: On or before July 21, 2025
  • Monthly Check-Ins: August, September, and Final in October
  • Measurements include:
    • Body weight
    • Waist circumference

Weight Loss Calculation:

Percentage Weight Loss = ((Starting Combined Weight - Ending Combined Weight) / Starting Combined Weight) ร— 100

๐Ÿšซ Weight Loss Drug Penalty

  • If a participant uses any prescription or OTC weight loss drug (GLP-1s, appetite suppressants, fat burners, etc.), a 5 lb penalty is added back to their final weight for scoring.
  • Disclosure is required.

4. Physical Challenge Events

  • The physical competition includes two distinct events:
    • A. Calisthenics Physical Challenge (timed)
      • Each team member must complete:
        • โœ… 10 Pull-Ups
        • โœ… 30 Push-Ups
        • โœ… 100 Air Squats
      • Challenge is timed as one continuous round per team.
      • Teams may only move to the next exercise once both teammates complete their reps.
      • Movement Standards:
        • Pull-Ups: Chin over bar, full extension.
        • Push-Ups: Chest to floor, elbows locked at top.
        • Air Squats: Hips below knees, full extension at top.
      • ๐Ÿ” Bonus Reps = Bonus Points:
        • +1 point per 5 extra pull-ups
        • +1 point per 10 extra push-ups
        • +1 point per 20 extra air squats
        • Max 10 bonus points per team
    • B. Final 5K Run/Walk (timed separately)
      • Each team member must individually complete a 5K run/walk (3.1 miles).
      • Times are recorded separately, then combined for a total team 5K time.
      • ๐Ÿ•’ All participants are required to finish the 5K to remain eligible for prizes

Movement Standards:

Participants may perform additional reps for extra points:

  • +1 point per 5 extra pull-ups

  • +1 point per 20 extra air squats
  • Max 10 bonus points per team

B. Final 5K Run/Walk (timed separately)

  • This is the final standalone challenge of the competition.
  • Each team member must individually complete a 5K run/walk (3.1 miles).
  • Times are recorded separately, then combined for a total team 5K time.

๐Ÿ•’ All participants are required to finish the 5K to remain eligible for prizes.

5. Scaling & Penalties

  • Assisted Pull-Ups: +30 seconds per participant
  • Knee Push-Ups: +15 seconds per participant
  • Penalties are added to the teamโ€™s calisthenics time only.

6. Scoring System

  • The overall competition score includes three elements:
    • Event | Weight in Final Score
    • Weight Loss % | 50%
    • Calisthenics Time (with bonuses/penalties) | 25%
    • Final 5K Run/Walk (combined time) | 25%
  • A. Event Ranking to Points Conversion
    • Each event is ranked, and points are assigned as follows:
      • 1st place = 100 pts
      • 2nd = 90 pts
      • 3rd = 80 pts
      • ... and so on (10-point intervals)
    • Bonus reps add directly to Calisthenics points (max 10 pts)
  • B. Final Score Calculation
    • Overall Score = (WL pts ร— 0.50) + (Calisthenics pts ร— 0.25) + (5K pts ร— 0.25)
    • Highest total wins.
    • Tiebreaker: Higher weight loss percentage.

  • All events will be supervised in person or via verified video.
  • Participants should consult a physician prior to participating.
  • All data must be honestly reported. Violations = disqualification with no refund.

9. Code of Conduct
